A workshop on architecture, design and material circularity.
The architecture firm hori-zonte, in co-organisation with FAUP – Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto and Antiga Casa Pompeu, and in partnership with Mercado do Bolhão, is promoting the Workshop Tudo se Transforma from 23 to 28 September, a unique experience of creating an ephemeral art installation made from recycled materials, which will be on display to the public at Mercado do Bolhão.

The workshop invites architects and architecture students to reflect on waste, the life cycle of materials and urban sustainability, transforming waste into creative architectural solutions. The initiative combines the design phase of the project with practical construction at Bolhão Market, providing an immersive experience of design, innovation and collaboration.
In addition to stimulating creativity and architectural practice, the workshop plays a crucial role in raising public awareness of the issue of waste, showing how discarded materials can be reused and transformed into elements of art and architecture, contributing to a more sustainable and conscious city.
Practical information:
• Dates: 23 to 27 September 2025 – 14h00-18h00 | 28 September: 9h00-12h00. You can choose to participate on just one day or on all days.
• Location: Mercado do Bolhão
• Prices: General public – €50 | Architects – €40 | Students – €20
• Registration until: 18 September
Tudo se Transforma is not just a workshop: it is an opportunity to rethink architecture, the city and urban waste, resulting in an ephemeral architectural installation open to the public.
